Rebuilding Lives, One Step at a Time

At Brilliant Wellness Center, our intentional therapies play a crucial role in the recovery process. We foster recovery using a blend of evidence-based practices and personalized treatment plans. By offering a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment, we assist our clients in addressing the physical, psychological, and social facets of addiction, helping them explore their emotions and develop healthy, effective coping skills.

Our Therapies

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps individuals identify and change destructive thought patterns that influence behavior and emotions. It is widely used for treating substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders by helping clients develop coping strategies.

Biopsychosocial Model

This model considers biological, psychological, and social factors and their complex interactions in understanding health, illness, and healthcare delivery. It emphasizes a holistic approach, recognizing that substance abuse and mental health issues are influenced by a combination of factors.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) Theory

This is a client-centered, directive method for enhancing intrinsic motivation to change by exploring and resolving ambivalence. It is particularly effective in engaging clients who may be resistant to change, fostering a supportive and non-confrontational therapeutic environment.

Stages of Change (Transtheoretical Model)

This model describes the stages individuals go through when changing behavior: precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance, and relapse. It helps therapists tailor interventions to the individual’s readiness to change, making therapy more effective.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT combines standard cognitive-behavioral techniques with concepts of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Originally developed for borderline personality disorder, it is effective for substance abuse and other mental health issues, particularly those involving emotion dysregulation.

Contingency Management (CM)

CM uses positive reinforcement to encourage desired behaviors, such as abstinence from drugs. By providing tangible rewards, CM has been shown to be effective in promoting and sustaining abstinence in substance abuse treatment.

Family Therapy

Family therapy involves treating the family as a unit, rather than focusing solely on the individual. It addresses the impact of substance abuse and mental health issues on the entire family system and helps improve family dynamics and support.

Recovery is not a destination, but a journey of self-discovery and healing, taken one step at a time.
